THE CLOSING PROCESS

 

My office will guide you through all phases of your transaction, whether you are buying or selling your home.  Once you have an accepted offer, my transaction coordinator, Kim will provide you with a transaction timeline showing all the important dates and deadlines.  We track all deadlines on a daily basis, to ensure that you are in compliance with the sales contract. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail.  Be assured that we will keep you informed at every stage of the escrow. You can expect the same high level of attention and service, from the start of our relationship until your transaction is closed.

If you are buying a home, we will send the sales contract to your lender, keep them advised of the status of the offer and get updates on the progress of your loan.  Once loan documents are received by the escrow company, we will schedule an appointment for you with the escrow officer to sign your loan documents. After the transaction closes, we will arrange for the key transfer.

If you are selling your home, we will open escrow at the title company.  We will contact the buyer’s lender to confirm the appraisal is satisfactory and that the transaction is moving smoothly through the underwriting process.

Again, as we move towards the closing date, we will contact you to set up an appointment to sign the closing documents with the escrow officer.  After closing, we will facilitate transfer of keys with the buyer.
